When does cannabis become ‘illegal’?

You’ve probably heard the phrase ‘recreational marijuana use’ and ‘medicinal marijuana use’. These terms have been the source of many battles between whether marijuana should be made legal or not in certain states in the US. 21 states have in fact legalised this drug but technically America, as a whole, brandishes it an ‘illegal substance’. As discussed – marijuana does have psychoactive effects because of the level of THC it contains. But CBD oil is an ingredient void of its connotations and only has trace levels of THC in it. CBD is completely legal in the UK and is known for its therapeutic effects, not its psychoactive effects.
